Footprint Tours on the Kyoto History

Fushimi castle was constructed by Toyotomi Hideyoshi in 16th centry for the purpose of his goverment. Afterwards it was sucseeded by Tokugawa Ieyasu, but destroyed in 17th centry. It had the huge moats around the donjon and showed off Hideyoshi's power.

Now the remain of the north moat was preserved as a park and you can clearly feel that you are at the bottom of the moat over there.
