Footprint Tours on the Kyoto History

In 16th centry, Toyotomi Hideyoshi made Fushimi area as a center of govermnent and industry. Because there was a big lake at the south of Fushimi, this area functined as important port for importing and exporting. This old drawing shows the atomosphere of the port.

Now Fushimi is not a port anymore because of the development of tranportation , but you can feel the old port atomosphere by strolling and boating around there.
