The wall around the city "Odoi"

Odoi is the wall around the city build by Toyotomi Hideyoshi the ruler of Japan in 16th centry. This old drawing shows the city surrounded by Odoi. Hideyoshi tried to revive Kyoto with verious reconstructions of the city and Odoi is one of them.

Now some remains of Odoi can be seen and you can walk on it to feel that you are on the wall in 16th centry.
